Microsoft PowerPoint

You probably use PowerPoint regularly in your graphic design business. PowerPoint is a very popular image-editing and presentation program that's been around for over 20 years and is also included as part of the Microsoft Office package.

You may not know, but PowerPoint has built-in support for image editing. You can add graphics to a slide and then change their properties, even create additional layers and adjust the opacity of those layers. You can even draw raster

Adobe Photoshop Elements

Adobe Photoshop Elements has a much simpler user interface than Adobe Photoshop.

The user interface is very similar to that of the popular graphics editor GIMP, a free image editor. GIMP is a graphics editor for photographers, web designers, graphic designers, and hobbyists.

Adobe Photoshop Elements comes with a built-in web browser, a photo editor, an image viewer and many other features.

There are two main views in the Photoshop Elements user interface: a view for accessing all the program's features, and a view for selecting photos and adjusting their settings.

A full-screen view

A full-screen view is the main view in the Photoshop Elements user interface.

You can use this view to access the program's features and settings. Here you can select a photo, adjust its settings, add effects, or print it.

The full-screen view has three windows:

You can change which window you are viewing. By default, you are viewing the full-screen view. But if you click the View button, you will see a preview of the photo in the main window. By clicking the View button, you will see the main view. By clicking the Print button, you will see a preview of the photo's settings in the Print dialog box. This window contains a preview of the settings you are about to apply. Click the Apply button to apply the settings and preview them on the main window.

To view the main window:

Click the View button.

You will see the full-screen view.

To return to the main view:

Click the View button.

To view the preview window:

Click the Print button.

You will see the print dialog box.

You can also access the main view by clicking the View button.

The main view contains a set of buttons for performing common actions in Photoshop Elements.

Photoshop Elements has a large number of features. A lot of them are accessed by pressing buttons located in the main view.

To see a list of the available buttons, click the Help button at the top right-hand corner of the main view.

A small view

The small view is a second view that displays the same information as the main view, but it is in a smaller window. This view is useful

Back in January 2017 I noted that the WV school districts were about to sell 22,000 tons of coal ash to the state. I’m still waiting for that information to be released, but after reading this article today from the Charleston Gazette on the issue, I have to ask again, is this really OK?

I’m not a tinfoil hat kind of guy, but I’m seriously starting to wonder. How can they be so sure that this is a good idea?

Let me give you a quick overview of this:

The only reason the utilities are purchasing this coal ash is that they can no longer apply for permits to use the ash from burning coal to generate power. So their only option is to buy it from another utility.

“It is no secret the utilities only own about 100 million tons of coal ash, which means around 22,000 tons is about to be dumped on the state,” according to Greg Kline, who is managing the West Virginia Rivers Center and also wrote an open letter to Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin and the House Committee on Energy this month.

Yeah, I didn’t really think it was a secret either, but apparently some folks are seriously not seeing the problem with this.

“I don’t know who the real people behind this are. The utilities get all of this stuff and just dump it on the state. I’m furious that they would do this.”

“They get all of it,” said West Virginia Rivers Center Board Chairman Bill Roig, a professor at West Virginia University, and a former chemical engineer. “They’re now trying to say they were just gathering it, but, OK, they gathered it and then they dumped it on the state. This is wrong.”

The companies say they didn’t know the ash had been sitting around and they were going to ship it out anyway, whatever that means.

“It’s in the ground, it’s just in the ground,” one utility official said. “We have been doing this for a long time and we own a lot of it, and so for us, this is a natural asset disposal that’s been open for 60 years.”

In the late 1970s, BART's problem was that it was building stations in the wrong place. The near-monopoly on the Bay Area's transportation network was its own worst enemy.

BART's iconic, George Washington-like head was carved by famed Portland sculptor and BART employee Lloyd F. Brown (rhymes with "the") in 1976. It stands outside of Market Station, the city's only train station when Brown carved it. BART acquired the sculpture when it moved it to a permanent pedestal near the fare gates at 11th Street Station in 1981. Similarly, BART's relationship with its initial customers was rocky. Few people went to BART, even in 1974 when the agency opened its first major station, the Coliseum/Oakland Station. BART's ridership was low, and its customer base consisted of labor union members and political radicals in the San Francisco-Oakland area.

After a fatal 1977 accident, which killed a BART attendant and critically injured another, it was clear that BART needed to transform itself.

By 1981, BART had revamped its image and had refurbished all of the older stations. It had a cleaner appearance and a much larger customer base. But in the early 1980s, BART simply was not a good location for commuters. Despite all the recent work, BART's Coliseum/Oakland Station was basically a museum, rather than an important transportation hub.

In the late 1970s, BART's problem was that it was building stations in the wrong place. They were built in San Francisco and Berkeley. When BART first began service in 1971, it had just two lines serving San Francisco. The eastern San Francisco line ran from Bay Fair and downtown Oakland to the Oakland Coliseum, and the northern San Francisco line ran from the San Francisco Presidio to downtown Oakland. There were plenty of big-box stores and rail yards in these areas, so the first stations weren't as much of a problem.

But the eastern line was built in 1972. New construction continued through 1978, and San Francisco City Hall and the Edifice Complex on Market Street were nearly finished in 1980. BART also started work on the eastern San
