a type of software that allows organizations to monitor and maintain all of
their assets, owned as well as leased. These assets could be physical (IT
devices, heavy machinery, etc.) or virtual (software). 

The software stores and manages details including location,
operation/performance, user logs, warranties, service history, contracts, and
other information throughout an asset’s lifecycle.
