Escape Baldi's Academy once again in this enhanced version of the beloved Baldi's Basics! Use strategy and deception to gather the seven notebooks without being discovered.

The first and only official release of the horror-themed parody game is called Baldi's Basics. This is not a game you can play at face value.

Known variously as Baldi's Basics and Baldi's Basics Classic, Fundamentals of Education and Learning by Baldi is a 2018 parody survival horror game created by American indie developer Micah McGonigal. The game uses subpar graphics and ideas similar to those of Sonic's Schoolhouse, IM Meen, and 3D Dinosaur Adventure to parody educational video games from the 1990s. Baldi's Basics was first released as a beta for Microsoft Windows and macOS on March 31, 2018. Baldi's Basics Plus, which includes all of the game's features and main gameplay, went on early access release June 12, 2020.

The friend of the main character had to beg the protagonist to go grab the seven notebooks that he had forgotten at the local school since he was running late and "rehearsing," and he was unable to go get them. Upon arrival, the player is greeted by a teacher named Baldi who will pose three simple math problems to him each time he finds a notepad. The player will get a reward if he can pass each of these tests. In addition to being a rather irascible character, Baldi will pursue the player if they provide the wrong answer to a job after assigning it. The main figure has to keep avoiding other students and other obstacles while searching for every other notepad. The player will have to endure an alternate ending that includes a distorted Baldi and an additional hidden character who compels them to destroy the game before it finishes automatically if they decide to provide false answers to every question.
