History of Photoshop

Originally called Photoshop 1.0, Photoshop was created by George Lowe, Jane Goodman, and Wen Ho Lee. The first version of the software was released in 1987 and, at that time, was called "The World's Fastest Digital Photo Manipulator."

For a time, Photoshop had superior capabilities than its competition, but the version 1.0 program's dependence on huge memory requirements made it difficult to run on PC computers of the era. In 1993, the renamed version Photoshop 1.0 was released.

This, combined with an improved technology base and a strong focus on delivering a user-friendly, easy-to-use program, led to a major expansion of Photoshop to version 2.0.

After version 2.0 was released, additional improvements were made, including the development of Channel Mixer, the Blending Modes section, and Smart Objects. In 1994, Photoshop added the ability to merge multiple images, replacing the layer-based editing used for the previous versions.

In 1997, with the introduction of the first Smart Objects, Photoshop began to truly stand out from the competition.

Launch your web browser and go to the Adobe website.

How to delete unwanted photos and images

When you click on the Photoshop Express icon in your Dock, the program launches automatically. You can delete unwanted images and photos from the following window:



You can also access this window by clicking on Photoshop Express in your Dock, then choosing Edit > Preferences > Photos.





How to resize photos

Click on the image in the Photoshop Express window to resize it to fit your needs.

When you click on an image, the following window will open:

Depending on the size of the images, you can either change the height and width or crop the image to fit your needs.

I recently found a post here in ELU which states that "it's usually better to use "the reason with" than "the reason against"". Does "the reason with" mean the same thing?

I would keep your list of alternatives short and simple and keep it to the three you actually ask for, namely "the reason of", "the reason with", and "the reason against".
I would avoid any use of "the reason for" or "the reason with" if they could be misunderstood to refer to any other than the only reason that you have in mind. For example, if "The reason with which he was arrested" is meant to be an example of a reason, then I would rewrite it to

"The reason for which he was arrested"

"The reason against which he reacted"

and "The reason with which he reacted"

could be misunderstood to refer to some reasons that you are probably not thinking of.
