To save time, scan a printed page first and save it as a PNG file in Photoshop. Open the image in Photoshop, select the Magic Wand tool, and click once in the image to create a marquee selection. Remove the background of the image with the Magic Wand. Erase all the edges, leaving you with only the objects to work with on the page.

Next, edit the contents of the page by cropping the image. If you add a border to the image, experiment with different border edges and styles. Add a new layer and play around with adding different colors, gradients, and patterns. Cropping, rotating, and resizing the image is an additional feature that you will use regularly in your publishing endeavors.

Organize the layer by creating a new folder for a particular purpose. Save the image. You have just created a professional brochure.

I found this project yesterday while I was looking for something to embed sockets in an android project. Its a small C++ based framework which allows you to write Java code in C++.

Its an attempt to make the C++ world and the Java world intersect in a simple
way. Right now the biggest issue is that Java code has to be wrapped up as
javascript. This project allows you to write java code in C++ and end up with
C++ code for your app.
