If you are used to working with Adobe Photoshop, then the difference between Photoshop and Adobe Fireworks isn't much. The two programs are very similar, but instead of Photoshop's layer-based editing system, Fireworks uses the vector system. It's easy to confuse Fireworks with Illustrator. However, Fireworks is an entirely different program.

The “Creative Cloud”

The latest version of Adobe Photoshop Elements 11, entitled “Creative Cloud”, can be either a subscription-based service ($10 per month or $140 per year) or a standalone version, for $70 (a $100 value).

If you buy Photoshop Elements (as a standalone product) and then change to the Creative Cloud service, the standalone version is not fully updated.

So the Creative Cloud version, with its improved user interface and additional features, is the recommended way to go.

If you already have an Adobe Photoshop Elements or Acorn or another program that does not support the Creative Cloud service, you can still access the Creative Cloud services (and upgrade) through Photoshop Elements.

After you upgrade from Photoshop Elements to Creative Cloud, your purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements files will be converted to Creative Cloud. They will then be saved to the Creative Cloud drive for you (in the My Digital Life folder). You can download the offline files and use them on your computer without being online.

You can also disable the conversion after upgrade.

In order to access Creative Cloud services, you need to create a Creative Cloud account.

You need to create a Creative Cloud ID if you already have an ID created with Photoshop Elements.

If you don't have a Creative Cloud ID, you need to sign up for it.

You also need to link your Adobe ID if you also use Adobe programs.

Checking and updating Photoshop Elements

The quickest way to find out if your Adobe Photoshop Elements files are up to date is to use Adobe Photoshop Elements itself to update your files.

Click on the Adobe icon in the drop-down menu in the image below or the menu icon (top left of the desktop Photoshop window)

On the menu bar, click on the Adobe logo (left corner, circled)

On the menu bar, go to Edit » Update Adobe Photoshop Elements.

On the Update Adobe Photoshop Elements dialog, click on the Download Updates button.

On the Download Updates dialog, click on the Install Updates button.

The installer software will now download and install the updates.

When the update is complete, Photoshop Elements will be re-launched.

The installer will also tell you which updates are available.

The updates you have not installed will show their status as Install Required.

the imposition of the limitation as an element of his sentence in this case. The fact that the statute does not limit the number of misdemeanors that can be charged and then tried in a single criminal action does not affect the validity of the sentence imposed under § 19-2604.5. For purposes of this section, the defendant's misdemeanor is properly treated as one misdemeanor offense.

B. Motion to Dismiss.
The defendant contends that the trial court erred in denying his motion to dismiss. He asserts that his misdemeanor sentence is excessive and is the result of his being convicted of two or more misdemeanor offenses under the same criminal information. Section 18-1-301(4)(a), C.R.S.1998, provides in pertinent part that "[t]he punishment for each separate offense arising out of the same criminal episode shall be imposed by a separate judgment...." The defendant argues that he was convicted of two misdemeanor offenses arising out of the same criminal episode because the trial court tried the charges in the same criminal information and because the two charges arose out of his attempt to evade police officers by fleeing in a car.
While the defendant's conduct constituted two separate and distinct misdemeanor offenses, the imposition of two misdemeanor sentences, one for each offense, was not improper because they were imposed in the same criminal information. Thus, the trial court did not err in denying the defendant's motion to dismiss.

II. Sentence
The defendant contends that the trial court erred in sentencing him to ten days imprisonment, 120 hours of community service, and a $25 fee for violating § 18-8-103, C.R.S.1998. Section 18-8-103 provides in pertinent part that "[w]hoever knowingly or recklessly violates any of the provisions of section 18-8-103... shall be punished, in the discretion of the court, as provided in section 18-1-105, article 13 of the Colorado criminal code...."
We review a defendant's sentence within statutory limits for an abuse of discretion. People v. Boulis, 963 P.2d 1171 (Colo.App.1997). A sentence within the statutory limits will not be disturbed on appeal absent a showing that the sentence is manifestly arbitrary, unreasonable, or *41 unfair. People v. Herrmannshein, 991 P.2d 998 (Colo.App.1999).

Candidate Lorene Spak of Canton won the Democratic primary and will face the incumbent in the Nov. 6 election. After a lifetime of service and caring for children, Spak has given it all to make a difference in the lives of other residents.

She did so by making houses available, working for handicapped and elderly residents, and earning a license as a therapeutic foster care provider.

“If you don’t mind me saying, I’m very proud of her,” Rep. Denoncourt said. “She has worked very, very hard. She is a fabulous, wonderful candidate, and I’m just glad she won. She will make a great opponent.”

Ms. Spak said she ran because she is “a better candidate than the other one.”

“I have worked in the public sector my whole life and have experience. At one point I was in the foster care system, and I learned about what this is all about,” she said. “I know what needs to be done. I know this is the right place for me.”

In a campaign statement issued shortly before the primary, Ms. Spak said she would do “the best I can.”

She and her husband do not have children of their own, which is why she is “the only candidate that came to a house” that needed to be cleared of damage.

“One of my commitments is to be accessible to people. I care about children. For me, I knew I could make a difference in the Canton-Massillon area
